A tragic building collapse has claimed three lives in Accra New Town, according to Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak. The incident happened on Sunday at an uncompleted three-storey structure within a school compound. The site was reportedly being used by Christian worshippers at the time. Rescue teams worked overnight under floodlights to save those trapped. A total of 23 people were involved in the collapse.
Sadly, three people—one man and two women—lost their lives. Twenty others are receiving treatment in hospitals, including the Police Hospital and facilities in Mamobi. Emergency agencies continue searching the rubble, fearing more victims may still be trapped.
