Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana have installed 78 new border markers along parts of their shared boundary. The exercise aims to clearly define the border between the two neighbouring countries. Officials say the markers will help prevent future boundary disputes. The project is part of a joint cooperation programme between both governments. Survey teams from the two countries worked together during the installation.
Authorities believe the clear boundary will improve security in border communities. It is also expected to support smoother cross-border trade and movement. Leaders from both nations say the initiative strengthens friendly relations between the two countries.
