Côte d’Ivoire and Egypt have agreed to deepen their cultural collaboration through new bilateral initiatives. During a meeting between the two countries’ Culture Ministers, both sides discussed ways to promote Ivorian cultural landmarks and heritage.
The Ivorian Minister congratulated Egypt on Dr. Khaled El-Enany’s election as Director-General of UNESCO. She described his victory as a success for both Egypt and Africa, highlighting shared cultural pride. The ministers emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural ties and promoting African unity through arts and heritage. They agreed to form a joint working group to design an executive programme for cooperation.
This programme will support cultural exchange projects and regional partnerships between the two nations. Both countries aim to enhance their cultural presence at African and global levels through this new collaboration.
