The Ghana Football Association will receive major financial support from FIFA ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Ghana is set to get $2.5 million to prepare the Black Stars for the tournament. This is an increase from the $1.5 million given in the previous World Cup cycle. The country will also earn $10 million for qualifying for the competition. FIFA has boosted total World Cup funding to about $871 million for all 48 teams.
The increase is driven by the commercial success of the expanded tournament. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. FIFA says the funds will help teams manage costs and improve competition readiness.
