Ghana Nurses Call for Better Working Conditions

Nurses and midwives at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission Hospital in Accra marked International Nurses and Midwives Week with calls for improved working conditions. Health professionals explained that hospitals need more equipment, staff support and better welfare packages. Speakers at the event praised nurses for their contribution to healthcare delivery across Ghana. Students from nursing training institutions also joined the programme in Accra. Hospital administrators encouraged young health workers to remain committed to patient care despite challenges in the profession.
