IGP Submits State Police Framework

Inspector-General of Police Tunji Disu has presented a detailed framework for state policing to the Senate. The proposal outlines structure, governance, and coordination between federal and state police systems.

The move follows agreement on decentralized policing to tackle insecurity. However, concerns remain over funding, misuse by governors, and the need for constitutional approval.
