Coach Nuhu Stephen’s Athletes Dominate Prizes and Medals
• The Ikogosi 17.5 KM Marathon Race 2025 held in Ekiti State witnessed thrilling performances from athletes trained by Coach Nuhu Stephen.
• 19-year-old Iliya Raymond Gyang from Plateau State clinched the Gold Medal and the Star Prize of ₦2,000,000 with a record time of 57:35:24.
• Francis James (19 years), also from Plateau State, finished second with an impressive time of 57:44:49.
• Sadjo Ismael (28 years) from Cross River State emerged third, clocking 59:16:81.
Female Category
• Solomon Shamber Blessing claimed the Gold Medal, setting a personal best of 68:54:57.
• Lydia Thomas Akusho finished as first runner-up with a time of 70:12:40.
• Gyang Tanko took second runner-up position, completing the race in 71:15:30.
Special Highlights
• 9-year-old Popoola Blessing, a JSS 1 student, drew attention as one of the youngest participants, starting and finishing the 17.5 KM race among the top athletes.
• Comrade Wilfred Wiggle, a 70-year-old veteran runner, became the crowd’s hero, completing the entire race in 88:15:24.
