Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer has received a late call-up to the Ghana national football team camp. The Ghana Football Association confirmed his inclusion on March 24. He replaces Inaki Williams and Brandon Thomas-Asante, who withdrew due to injuries. Both players picked up knocks during league matches over the weekend. Inaki featured fully for Athletic Bilbao, while Thomas-Asante was substituted during Coventry City’s win over Swansea City.
Medical checks later ruled them out of the trip to Vienna. Königsdörffer has already joined the squad and is set to begin training. Ghana will face Austria national football team on March 27 before playing Germany national football team three days later.
