President John Dramani Mahama has praised Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno for improving security across the country. He said the police leadership has strengthened the fight against robbery and crime. Mahama spoke during the opening of a new police headquarters in the Eastern Region. He encouraged officers to continue serving the public professionally. Meanwhile, police have deployed special anti-robbery teams to Bono East and the Northern Region.
The move follows deadly attacks that killed four people in separate incidents. IGP Yohuno says investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects. Residents have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with police.
