MTN Ghana has signed a two-year, $2 million deal with the Ghana Football Association. The agreement makes MTN the headline sponsor for four male and female national teams. These include the Black Stars, Black Queens, Black Satellites (U20), and Black Starlets (U17).
The deal replaces a similar $2 million deal before the 2022 World Cup that covered only the Black Stars. GFA President Kurt Okraku and MTN CEO Stephen Blewett signed the deal in Accra. Blewett said MTN is proud to support football that unites the nation. Okraku said the funding will help prepare the teams for major competitions.
The Black Stars lead their 2026 World Cup qualifying group, while the Black Queens aim for better results in the next Women’s AFCON.
