Rawlings Statue Honors His Ideals

Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings says her father’s statue should remind Ghanaians to live by his values. She spoke at a ceremony in Keta to unveil a statue of former President Jerry John Rawlings.

She urged citizens to emulate his ideals of integrity, accountability, humility, and service. According to her, living by these principles is the true way to honour his memory. Traditional leaders from Anlo and several dignitaries attended the event. Speakers recalled Rawlings’ role in democratic stability, discipline, and national development.

His leadership on projects like the Keta Sea Defence was also highlighted. Organisers said the monument will help future generations learn about patriotism and service.
