Togo’s Economy Grows by 6.3%

Togo’s economy continued to expand in the third quarter of 2025. According to National Institute of Statistics and Economic and Demographic Studies (INSEED), real GDP grew by 6.3% year-on-year, after 7.1% in the second quarter.

Nominal GDP reached 1,840.6 billion CFA francs, up from 1,729.2 billion a year earlier. For the first nine months, cumulative GDP stood at 4,876.1 billion CFA francs. The secondary sector led growth, rising by 9.1%, with strong gains in construction and extractive industries. Textiles, clothing, and construction materials recorded especially sharp increases.

The primary and tertiary sectors also posted steady growth, supported by agriculture, transport, and health services. INSEED is expected to release fourth-quarter results soon, which will indicate the provisional annual GDP for 2025.
