Togo Police Boost Traffic Management in Lomé

The motorized brigade of the Togolese police has received new equipment to improve traffic control in Greater Lomé. The package includes 14 podiums and 4 kiosks handed over by Security Minister Calixte Batossi Madjoulba.

The equipment was officially delivered to Police Chief Colonel Babarime Akatao on September 10, 2025. The podiums are built to resist harsh weather and have roofs with solar-powered lighting. They will be placed at busy intersections to boost officer visibility and ease traffic flow. The kiosks provide shelter, rest space, and communication tools for police officers.

Commissioner Kpatcha Tchendo said the initiative ensures officer protection, visibility, and utility. Tested successfully at key crossroads, the project may expand nationwide.
