Ghana has earned nearly $12 billion from its petroleum sector since 2011. The total revenue stands at about $11.97 billion, according to Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC). Corporate Income Tax is the largest contributor, making up about 45% of inflows. Carry and Participatory Interest follows closely with around 44%. Royalties contribute just over 10%, while other sources remain minimal.
PIAC Chairman Richard Ellimah presented the report in Accra. In 2025, the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation received a reduced allocation. Funds like the Stabilisation and Heritage Funds continue to support economic stability and future savings.
