Stéphane Kipré, a member of parliament from Gboguhé-Zahibo in Daloa, has had his judicial supervision lifted on April 8, 2026. The court granted the request without any opposition from prosecutors. All restrictions were removed, including the seizure of his passport and travel ban. His requirement to report regularly to authorities was also cancelled. His lawyer argued that these measures were no longer necessary since the investigation has ended.
The defense also highlighted his parliamentary role, which requires international engagements. He reportedly cooperated fully with the judicial process throughout the case. However, charges of illicit enrichment and money laundering are still pending before the court.
