UNESCO Chair Water Women and Decision Power and Centre Ivoirien de Recherches Économiques et Sociales marked World Water Day on March 25, 2026. The event took place in Vitré 2 under the theme “Water, source of equality.” It highlighted major challenges in access to clean water in rural and peri-urban areas. Local authorities and water sector experts attended the event. They educated communities on sustainable water management and hygiene practices.
Residents shared their daily struggles with water access during discussions. A field survey was conducted to identify urgent sanitation and water needs. The event ended with the donation of sanitation kits to support community health.
