Ghana Evacuates Citizens From South Africa

Ghana will repatriate 300 citizens from South Africa following renewed xenophobic attacks targeting African migrants. Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Ablakwa said a chartered flight will leave Pretoria on Thursday with the government covering all travel costs.

The attacks have sparked diplomatic tension across Africa, with Ghana urging the African Union to address the issue at its next summit. Nigeria and Kenya have also responded, while South Africa says economic pressure and undocumented migration are contributing to the unrest.
