Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire Coordinate Cocoa Prices

Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire are strengthening cooperation on cocoa pricing to improve earnings for farmers. Together, the two countries account for nearly two-thirds of global cocoa production.

Officials believe coordinated pricing could increase their bargaining power in international markets. Analysts, however, warn that smuggling and policy differences may complicate implementation.
