KiDi Criticises Ghana’s Music Industry

Ghanaian Afrobeats and R&B star KiDi says the country lacks a proper music industry. He believes there are no strong structures to support artistes. According to him, every musician must rely only on personal resources. This, he argues, makes the sector unattractive to investors. KiDi mentioned poor royalty collection as a major weakness.

He also cited weak support systems within the industry. The singer noted that creatives work hard but face unfair criticism. He stressed that without structure, the music space cannot truly grow.
