The Ghana Air Force has received its first Airbus H175 helicopter from France. The aircraft arrived in Accra on March 5, 2026. It is part of a programme to modernise the Air Force fleet. The helicopters were built by Airbus Helicopters. The aircraft was welcomed with a water cannon salute at the Air Force Base.
Several government and military officials attended the ceremony. The helicopter will help with rescue, medical evacuation, and disaster response. It will also improve the country’s security and rapid response operations.
