Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka will chair the 32nd anniversary celebration of the National Democratic Coalition on May 20 at the MUSON Centre in Lagos.
The event will honour individuals and organisations that played key roles in Nigeria’s pro-democracy struggle following the annulment of the June 12, 1993 election won by late businessman MKO Abiola. Former Defence Minister Theophilus Danjuma and the Rasheed Ladoja are among dignitaries expected at the event.
