Tinubu Sacks NMDPRA Boss, Appoints Replacement

President Bola Tinubu has dismissed Saidu Mohammed as Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), just four months after his appointment. He has been replaced by Rabiu Abdullahi Umar, pending Senate confirmation.

The Presidency said the decision aligns with the Petroleum Industry Act and aims to strengthen regulatory efficiency in the oil and gas sector. Umar brings over 25 years of experience across energy and manufacturing industries.
