More than 420,000 women entrepreneurs have benefited from the Support Fund for Women of Côte d’Ivoire (FAFCI).
Other programs, like the National Women and Development Fund, have also helped over 4,000 women since 2020. Training institutes for women (IFEF) have increased from 58 in 2011 to 145 in 2025. These institutes have trained more than 104,000 women and girls in four years. The Social Safety Net Program has lifted many women out of poverty.
In July 2025, 21 women, including three officers, graduated as commando gendarmes. This shows progress, as the gendarmerie only opened to women in 2015. Girls also performed strongly in 2025 exams, often matching or passing boys.
