Journalists trained on digital safety

About twenty journalists in Côte d’Ivoire attended a training on digital rights and online safety. The session took place in Port-Bouët during a forum on digital inclusion (DRIF26). It was organised by Paradigm Initiative. Moussa Sene explained that digital rights are human rights in the online space. He highlighted key rights such as internet access, freedom of expression, and access to information.

Journalists also learned about privacy and data protection rules. Joshua Oye trained participants on digital safety practices. They were advised to use strong passwords, update devices, and protect themselves from cyber threats.
