Ghana is facing power disruptions due to a sharp rise in electricity demand. Deputy Energy Minister Richard Gyan Mensah says overloaded transformers are a major cause. He explained that increased demand puts heavy pressure on distribution systems. Several communities have already experienced outages as a result. Power operators, however, are responding quickly to reported faults.
Speaking on PM Express with Evans Mensah, he shared his concerns. He revealed he lives without a generator to feel what citizens go through. The government aims to improve power reliability as demand continues to grow.
