President Bola Tinubu has appointed Professor Oluwatoyin Temitayo Ogundipe as Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Universities Commission. The appointment was announced in Abuja, with Ogundipe succeeding Emeritus Professor Olufemi Raphael Aina, who recently resigned from the position.
Ogundipe, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, is expected to provide leadership aimed at improving academic standards, transparency, and competitiveness in Nigeria’s university system. The government says his appointment aligns with ongoing reforms in higher education.
