The Nigerian Army has announced a major reshuffle of senior officers across its formations nationwide. The changes affect General Officers Commanding, brigade commanders, commandants and principal staff officers in what military authorities describe as efforts to strengthen national security and operational effectiveness.
The redeployment, approved by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, includes new appointments to key operational and training commands. The Army urged the newly appointed officers to provide exemplary leadership in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
