Ghana Begins Flood Recovery

Ghana has launched a nationwide post-flood clean-up and recovery exercise following devastating floods in Greater Accra and other regions. The Ghana Armed Forces are leading the operation.

President John Mahama has committed 350 million cedis for emergency relief and recovery efforts. Authorities say the exercise will improve sanitation, prevent disease outbreaks, and remove illegal structures blocking waterways.
