Government planners in Lomé gathered proposals from municipal leaders as work continued on Togo’s 2026–2031 development roadmap. Representatives from the capital’s municipalities discussed infrastructure, public services and economic priorities. The consultations followed similar meetings held in other regions of the country. Participants reviewed progress made under the previous national roadmap. Urban growth and transportation featured prominently during the discussions.
Local leaders submitted recommendations aimed at improving living conditions. Analysts described the process as an effort to strengthen local participation in national planning. The consultations remained an important governance story between 30 May and 1 June.
