Migrants Diverted To Equatorial Guinea

Five migrants who reportedly refused to disembark from a US deportation flight in Liberia were flown to Equatorial Guinea. The group included three Cubans, a Brazilian and a Cameroonian.

Human rights groups have raised concerns about the treatment of third-country nationals transferred to Equatorial Guinea. Liberia’s agreement to receive up to 1,200 US deportees is now facing increased scrutiny.
