The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has called on religious and traditional leaders to champion peace, justice and national unity. He made the appeal during the 2026 National Social Cohesion Dialogue in Abuja.
He said traditional institutions enjoy public trust and should help strengthen social cohesion. Other speakers also stressed the need for constitutional roles for traditional rulers and stronger national integration.
