Queiroz to Lead Black Stars

Carlos Queiroz has been appointed as the new head coach of Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars. The decision was made by the Ghana Football Association together with key stakeholders. Queiroz has coached top teams like Real Madrid and worked with Manchester United as an assistant. He has also managed national teams including Portugal national football team and Iran national football team. The experienced coach will lead Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The tournament will be hosted in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Ghana’s first match is against Panama national football team on June 17, 2026. They will also face England national football team and Croatia national football team in the group stage.
